does anyone have experience with moving objects between Splus 5.1 (linux)
and Splus 2000?

data.dump() in Splus 5.1 tends to produce dumps with attributes that Splus
2000 can't work with, even with oldStyle=T.

for instance, I'm interested in trying to move things like lm() and glm()
objects between my office workstation and laptop.

any insights greatly appreciated.

thanks
