[S] Installation prob with Splus

I can't seem to start S-PLUS 5.1 on my University's AIX
cluster. It exits with the following message:
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program
/usr/local/depot/splus-5.1/splus/cmd/Sqpe
because of the following errors:
0509-022 Cannot load library libdbt0d.a[shr.o].
0509-026 System error: A file or directory
in the path name does not exist.
I looked for any lib* files in the splus-5.1 directory tree
and found

I looked in the file Splus5 (used to execute the program, I guess)
for references to lib and found
# Append our lib directory to the ld path for the dynamically
# loaded X11 client programs (e.g. motif(), help.start(),
# data.ed(), and the rest) and FORTRAN-using programs.
S_LIBLIST=/opt/SUNWspro/lib:${SHOME}/newfun/lib
This is an AIX cluster, so I was surprised to see SUNWspro
which I guessed to be a Sun thing. Anyway, there is no such
directory as /opt/SUNSWpro, so I looked at other lib
directories and found nothing in the way of a libdbt*, and
only a few libdb* at all. I'd appreciate any suggestions
about what I should do next!
