I have a problem with importing data from an SPSS (.sav) file
in Splus. Splus imports value labels rather than the values
themselves. Is there a way to change this unexpected
behaviour?
Recoding in Splus or manually removing labels in SPSS is not really
an attractive option. There is a command syntax trick in SPSS for
suppressing labels (assinging a label to a single nonexistent value
only), but in this case Splus still imports labels only (=NA's).

Thanks in advance,
Vaclav Fidler
