Dear S-gurus,
Sometimes I generate a whole bunch of plots at once and want to push
them into a powerpoint presentation. Today, I decided to try out the
Powerpoint interface to see if it would actually do the right thing.
Unfortunately, I can't get it to do what I want.
Say I have a graphsheet with many sheets. I save the graphsheet to a
file. What I want the interace to do is to split this graphsheet into
separate pages in the powerpoint presentation and apply a specified
template. Sounds like something that you would expect from a commercial
package for which we pay >$500 a copy.
As far as I can tell, the Powerpoint interface only uses the *last* page
in a graphsheet and you can't apply a template. Of course, you can apply
a template later, but this is so simple that the software should take
care of it.
OK, if I can't get the stupid thing to split up the sheets during
processing, how about during the save operation? I found a reference in
teh archive to using win.printer with ## in the file name. However, the
help file for win.printer says that it is deprecated and I certainly
don't like to get hooked on functions that are in danger of
dissapearing.
So.....my question is "how do I create a trellis device that saves each
page as a separate file?" I need trellis device since that is how I
usually work.
I certainly do apologize if this is a well-known problem, but I can't
seem to figure out the solution in either the manual or Snews archive.
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards,
jcd
ps. I am using Splus 4.5 and 2000.
