Hi,

I'd be obliged if anyone could tell me how to change the aspect
ratio in plots. Splus defaults to show my plots in ranges that
are deceptive. For example, the domain of the Y-axis is [0,5]
while that for the X-axis is [0,10]. I want Splus to plot the
x and y axes so that the length in the plot from 0 to 1 in the
Y domain is the same as the length from 0 to 1 in the X domain.
By default Splus will instead change the aspect ratio so that
a given distance in the Y domain is one-half of that in the
X domain. This makes the slope of the ksmooth, e.g., appear
to be twice what it actually is.

thanks,
jason
