I am analyzing cross-sectional counts with many zeros and with some
hurdles before reaching the zeros. Some of the colloquial names that
have been applied for these types of models are: zero inflated poisson,
zero inflated negative binomial, semiparametric models for counts,
hurdle models, finite mixture models, etc.
I would be most thankful for ANY help from Splus users who have
experience using Splus in the analysis of such data. Kindly share with
me information on steps you took in your analyses.
