Release 3.1 of the NLME library for fitting mixed-effects models in
S-PLUS is now available for Unix and Windows (courtesy of
Prof. Brian D. Ripley) platforms at
http://nlme.stat.wisc.edu

This latest release contains corrections for several bugs detected in
the 3.0 release. The most important bug corrected in the new release
refers to the calculation of confidence intervals for
variance-covariance parameters, which were larger than they should in
the previous release.
This new release also contains revised help pages, with several typo
corrections, and updated transcripts for the SAS PROC MIXED examples.
