Seems like nobody could tell me how to encourage plot.gam() to deal with
interactive factors in a way different from its default. Seems to be
several layers before we get to the bit that makes the 3-d plot. I
got lost. Note that I was not referring to interactions with
nonparametric smooth terms which, as the help file says, are not fully
supported, I was referring to interaction between factors only.
I'll notify the list if/when I get it sussed.
