Hi, S+ users, I forgot to post Bob's response to the below question I asked
yesterday. This is relevant to Spus 2000. I guess the basic answer is to
delete _sum4.txt and _sum4i.txt and _sum.tx_ and restart Splus.

Hello, I had this same problem. This fixed it:
Start Splus 2000. Before opening the Object Explorer, open the command
window and enter make.DB.summary(1). The OE relies on a object that
summarizes the contents of each database. Sometimes it needs to be
refreshed "manually". Now open your Object Explorer file via
'File' | 'Open' menu.
