Such willingness is even more amazing since scarcely more than 20% of
people have the courtesy to acknowledge what was done for them. It
appears to me that the figure is low because a large number of people
who ask basic questions on this list are undergrads who've always had
their mothers to pick up after them and have yet to learn such arcane
concepts as courtesy.
It's a great comfort to know that Market Forces do not control
everything. A very large part of what I know about S has come from
postings on this list, and the occasional one of my own. Long may it
continue.
