Janet and I did some quick experimentation, and the CR problem seems
to be fixed. The database did the right thing (turned the CR's into
spaces) without destroying surrounding text.
However, while we were doing this, we attempted to create a new
project. This worked, but attempting to modify the project failed,
with a "Scheme Error" about new_customer.

:) descriptions? The original warning was that returns would result in random
