Hi Karen,

This is a follow-up to your note and to our conversation.

I wanted to let you know of the following things I have taken away from
our discussions:

	1. I recognize the importance of having visible user interfaces like
the IS Project Database set the example for proper handling of year 2000
issues. I'll incorporate this into our requirements document when we
revise it for version 2.

	2. I re-emphasize that any year 2000 problems in version 1 were an
embarassment to me when I discovered they'd crept in during the rush to
get the system out the door.

	3. The way we plan to do year 2000 compliance is with a good parser for
user input, and proper internal representations of years.

	4. The deployment of a Project Database implementation that sets the
example may be delayed by other efforts with higher business impact.

Thanks for the help.

I'm hoping you won't need to waste your time on our project any more.
