Project: Electronic
Proposal/Submission System
This project will support the creation, management, flow,
and transmission of MIT research proposals to federal
agencies. MIT is a participant in a consortium of research
institutions and federal agencies to realize a vision for
electronicresearch administration. The EPS system will be
integrated with the operational MIT Sponsored Programs
Management System (SPMS).Delivery time is early 1998.
It's goal of basic, core functionality, we will be to
augument/complement the development toimplement the
complete scope in time for December, 1997. August's
functionality will include: Rolodex, Sponsor Maintenance,
In-box/Notification (exclude e-mail),User/Roles
Maintenance, Unit Level Maps, Proposal, Budget, Narrative,
Print Proposals.December's deliverable include:
refinement of August's deliverable with Digital Signature,
security, email, EDI, Sponsor Rules, more robust proposal
