Isn't this going to break the OS/2 AFS client?  It is my understanding
that the OS/2 AFS client only supports the Transarc string-to-key, and
that IBM is doing no further development (since it's not a product and
they've lost the source code or something :-).

Sounds like the client needs to be rewritten.  It needed to rewritten
anyway (with the source code copylefted) but this forces the issue.
Maybe with the combined efforts of the MIT OS/2 Users Group and the CMU
OS/2 Users Group, it'll actually get done...  Anybody else interested?
