Last year we just used a simple desk flag which I have. I
think having a flag is a good idea because it shows we aren't
anarchists or USA-haters or weirdos. Having a really big flag,
however, might obscure our Libertarian banner. Also, it might turn off
people. Let's face it, if I saw a table with a big flag, I would think
"Must be the MIT Republicans" and not even bother looking. We
certainly DO NOT want to hang it upsidedown or anything. After all,
the USA is still the country closest to the libertarian ideal. To be
quite honest, the most important thing is to have the bowl of candy be
visible. People stop to ask if they can have some candy, we give them
the quiz, and the ones who are receptive to our ideas sign our email
list.
