This magazine seems to be on a roll. In the space of a year or
two they've had cover stories on/in support of Gun Rights (The
False Promise of Gun Control), Legal Marijuana, and now this
article that seems to be right out of a Stossel documentary.
The Atlantic Monthly could probably be called "Boston's _New Yorker_"
in style and general appeal. They're one of the premire examples
of how modern liberals and libertarians may bridge on some issues.
(Fuel for the endless debate on whether liberals or conservatives
are "closer" or "more easily moved" to libertarianism.)
I get the magazine and like it.
