We may find that a lot of leftists are not so enchanted with big
government when they are not the one's running it. When the speech
codes start to become Buchannon's "West is best" garbage instead of
the current PC, they may find they'd just as soon not have ANY
speech codes at all.

You should hear Newt rail against the "drug users."
Also, I expect to see the GOP become more and more government
friendly as they assume control. The term limits back down is
just the first step. We all think our own version of leadership is
enlightened. We'll see how much the GOP was really anti-government
and how much the GOP was just anti-government-because-we're-not-in-
charge-at-the-moment.
Anyone see the Weld quotes in today's Globe? How easy it is for
a person to change their outlook, when they go from being an outsider
(1990 Weld) to an insider (1994 Weld).
