Let's look at the full header I attached:

Indeed, this is true. I do in fact remember such an article. I didn't
claim I could guarantee it's correctness 100%, I merely said I remember such
an article. My memory is correct. The "false claim" is not mine, but--if
false--is the original author's mistake.

Again, I merely state that I "believe" something. I don't say "<X> is true."

Here I point out that I can't guarantee the article was correct, so I go

I think it was very unfair to imply that I lied or made up anything.
