Polls have historically been unreliable. There have been many elections
where the polls just before the election were pretty far off. There seems
to be a last-minute change factor. So using last-minute poll results in
order to decide whether or not to "waste" your vote on the libertarian
may be risky, unless the margin is huge.
Of course, some could make the argument that you should vote for the lib,
and if the rep loses, it's the GOP's fault for not taking lib concerns
seriously. OTOH, I've heard that Weld seems to be a pretty good guy,
for a Republican.
