I talked recently with a man who has an idea for a demonstration. He is a
computer consultant who owns a condo in Cambridge. When he received an
out-of-state consulting job, he agreed to rent the condo to a neighbor. The
renter refuses to pay or leave. He has in the past created health code
volations to use against landlaords and otherwise sabotaged apartments (I have a
more detailed list). Law such as those banning the introduction of past history
into tenant suits enable the man to get away with such actions.

We have talked about the possibility of staging some kind of demonstration at
Cambridge City Hall on the Sunday before the election (Nov. 6). This would
probably only take about an hour (at the demonstration), but we would need
people. If you are interested and available, please RSVP to me soon. I need to
make sure there is enough interest before I do anything else.
