True, though I was under the impression that they tended to be fairly
similar, except for percentage requirements.
Now that I think about it, I don't think getting X% of a congressional race
vote counts, at least not in MA. Otherwise, you wouldn't see Dems running
unopposed since at least one third party would take the opportunity to get
an easy 5%-10% and get permanent status. It could be different in CA. Also,
I wonder how *winning* a seat would affect things. Did the Socialists get
permanent status in VT?
