I was at King Richards Faire yesterday, about as far removed from politics
as I could be, watching the blacksmiths make swords the old fashioned way
listening to a conversation they were having with some of the other
spectators. The topic of "scary" came up (so close to Halloween) and the
smith said, "You want to know the scariest thing you can say to someone?
`I'm from the government and I'm hear to help.'" I just smiled and thought
to myself, we're reaching people, one way or another, we're reaching people.
I probably should have bought a sword right then and there. I did at least
take a brochure.
