This semester, the MIT Libertarians will be sponsoring several
visits to a local gun range to shoot some guns. The point of the
activity is that most Libertarians support their 2nd amendment rights
but are still nervous around guns because they never touched/fired
one. This will give them a chance to see how they work in a SAFE,
RESPONSIBLE, and LEGAL manner. Some of the guns shown will be those
banned under the recent crime bill. (Making new ones was banned, not
possessing ones already made.) If you are interested or have any
questions, send email to me at damartin@mtl.mit.edu. I will be
arranging the trips with a friend of mine who actually owns the guns
and belongs to the range. Everything we will need will be provided,
you don't need any special equipment. We will go in small groups of 3
to 4 people.
