Hi! I'm afraid I won't be able to make tomorrow's meeting, and neither
will Oliver. I'll be doing User Accounts, and Oliver will be working
in 11-115 all day.
In any case, I'm not sure that we're approaching this the right way.
CSS Consulting will not be able to support any type of layered athena
workstation that does not also exist in the public athena clusters.
Before supporting a type that does exist in a public cluster we'll
need to have an appropriate machine for a while beforehand to get used
to the non-athenized operating system and its layered-athena quirks.
If some other group will be involved supporting layered athena
instead, they should be included now to work on priorities and support
plans.
Since there's so much else going on right now, until we know who will
be supporting layered athena and what they want to do I don't think it
is appropriate for me to put any time into updating the old support
plan. If anyone wants to send comments on the old plan I'd be happy to
collect them all until we know who should take care of them.
