I have just added myself to this list today and moira hasn't updated
yet, so please cc: replies to me.
I just installed layered athena yesterday. It seemed to go well,
and I was able to login and work successfully, though I did not have
more than half an hour to test it.
Today I decided to add the 'login' layer. Installation seemed to go
okay, and the system rebooted. However the reboot failed. It got to
the following lines and stopped:
attaching system libraries:
hubb1526792192a -> lck.lb 0
a -> lck.op 2
hubb157693440nl -> lck.nb 2147483647
nl -> lck.op 2
blocked: sameproc true
I tried a ^C at that point. The system gave a message about not
being able to attach system libraries and continued. But of course
I was not able to login at the end; it gave an activation error.
Any ideas?
On another issue, when the boot goes to start the AFS kernel, it
spits out some 50-odd messages like:
kernel symbol with funny type: 'ioctl' type=6
with 'ioctl' being replace by some 50 or so other values. It appears
to still function, but I don't know if these messages can be fixed or
ignored.
