At Karl's request, I'm checking in a patch that will have
appl/bsd/* fall back to /usr/athena/bin/* if the v5 connection fails.
(This will be enabled by configuring --enable-athena). This is not
what I consider a long-term solution to the problem of v4 fallbacks; I
agree with Barry that you want to have a shell script or something in
that situation, but this is easier, and I need somthing fairly quick.
