Well in any case, I believe the problem should be fixed in the CVS tree
now. I just included the missing function, simply because it's less
work than backing out the fix. The fact that it makes the executables a
little bit smaller doesn't hurt, but it wasn't the primary reason why I
decided to choose this path.
I think we all agree on the long-term fix (merging the V4 library into
the tree). Hopefully the short-term fix is one that will work and that
we all can live with.
