This (indirect) query brings up a point we need to talk about: what's
the future of Kerberos technical leadership?

George,
Can you help us out in understanding how to do business with MIT on Kerberos
now that Athena has disbanded?

1. Who is responsible (name, tel. #, e-mail) for Kerberos from a management
viewpoint? Is that Jim Bruce? What resources are to continue working on it?
Is the young fellow he was so instrumental in the development of Kerberos
(Jon Cole) still assigned to the Project? Who is the technical brains on
   Kerberos now?

2. How can we find out the exact content of Version 5 of Kerberos? Protocol
   description and feature list?

3. Is there a schedule for subsequent releases or versions of Kerberos
   beyond Version 5?

The reason for my interest is:
1. We have integrated Kerberos into our UNICOS 7.0 OS which we are releasing
at the end of this year
2. We are going forward for a security evaluation with the NCSC at a B1
level, and are including Kerberos protection as part of our network
   security features.
Therefore, we have a very vested interest in knowing the fate of Kerberos
now that Camelot (Athena) has faded from the scene.

	-John
