this may have been a sysV/bsd make difference. changing a "::" to ":" caused the Right Thing to start happening on the PMAX. Since this is only used for the DES library, I've made the change in the template file (Project.tmpl) and checked it back in. Can someone try this on the VAX or RT? (rebuild lib/Makefile, and remove lib/*/foodes5, and rebuild)
