actually, the way things are currently set up, you can't put it into libos.a, since that is loaded *after* all the -lkrb5 stuff (to make sure it's not calling back!) eventually, the libs will be merged (like Xlib is...it has os-dependent stuff, but it all comes in as -lX11).
