I've seen other compilers barf on supposed ? : mismatches with function pointers; this particular case is easy to fix, so I see no reason not to. For more complicated parsing workarounds, it may or may not be worth the trouble. For code generation problems, it is probably not worth the trouble. However, it's probably best done on a case-by-case basis.
