This is, I suppose, a step in the right direction, and is certainly
better than having Kerberos *always* build a local copy of imake (and
all the other utilities it builds).  However, the RIGHT solution is
just to assume they are there, and have a completely separate kit for
all the utilities; then all the Athena services can use the same copy.
If you want Kerberos, or Zephyr, or Discuss, or whatever, you first
get the utilities tarfile and build it.  Saves time, disk space,
effort, etc.  Everyone wins.

Why does this idea have so much opposition?
