As long as we're talking about the Kerberos ftp ...

By default, it uses passive mode.  On a lot of anonymous ftp servers, this
seems to be broken somehow.  I haven't tracked down the details, but there
are a _lot_ of anonymous ftp servers that I connect to that will hang
at the "227 Entering Passive Mode" message.  Turning off passive mode will
fix this.

I'm not sure if this the fault of the ftp server, the ftp client, the
network, or the phase of the moon.  Has anyone else seen this?
