I'm trying to get the Kerberos 5 NT ALPHA 2 snapshot, at
http://web.mit.edu/kerberos/www/nt-alpha2.html, but can't.
I feel out the form with 3 YESes, and after I click on "submit" I get a
"there was no response" message?
You're probably behind a firewall, which is badly configured to prevent
outgoing access to non-standard web port. If you have access to the
Internet from a non-firewalled network, try that out. Alternatively,
try talking to your network administrator and ask him or her to adjust
your firewall settings.
Alternatively, you can try ftp'ing to athena-dist.mit.edu, and getting
the file /pub/kerberos/README.KRB5_1.0, and following the directions
therein. It's a manual process that's not as easy, but it's alternative
if you can't more flexibility from your firewall maintainer.
