My opinion is that Doug should put the patch in the notes section.
We can also provide patch files for various OS's as needed separate
from the tarballs. We can say that these were late breaking patches,
which should not affect any other OS, but will be integrated in a future
release. 

My main concern is that each one of these delays us another week - which is
what beta testing is for, grant you, but at what level do you say enough?
Will we get many bug reports if we don't fix these problems - but provide
a patch? Is our goal to get as many platforms as possible working before
ship date? Do we have an obligation to integrate this fix at this date?
These are all questions that Ted must answer...
