Yes, I did mean 1.8.1. Thanks for noticing the typo.

Can you try with 1.8.1 kinit with MS AD 2003 domain, and then use
something like:

[talsop@shrek ~]$ strings /tmp/krb5cc_4000 |grep X-CACHE
X-CACHECONF:
[talsop@shrek ~]$ 


It will be good to know if you get the same result.
