principal aliases for non-LDAP backends?

All-

I know that principal aliases are currently only supported with the
LDAP backend.  Are there any plans to add support for principal aliases
with the traditional backend?  I checked the roadmap here

 	http://k5wiki.kerberos.org/wiki/Roadmap

and didn't see any mention of it.
