I'm wrapping up my summer internship at Parc so it doesn't
look like I'm going to be able to squeeze as much time to work for
Kerberos. Anyway, I don't think I'm going to be able to find time to
debug the Alpha problem, so I set up a moderately controlled
environment for you to play with.
/mit/krb5/.build.alpha_osf32/build (/mit/krb5/build/build on an Alpha)
contains a tree that exibits the problem.
To use in place:
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /mit/krb5/build/build/lib
setenv KRB5_CONFIg /mit/krb5/build/build/tests/dejagnu/tmpdir/krb5.conf
setenv KRB5_KDC_PROFILE /mit/krb5/build/build/tests/dejagnu/tmpdir/kdc.conf
/mit/krb5/build/build/kdc/krb5kdc
/mit/krb5/build/build/kadmin/server/kadmind
//mit/krb5/build/build/kadmin/cli/kadmin -pkrbtest/admin
(The password has been changed to testpassword)
Any addpol or list_principals command will fail from kadmin, but work from kadmin.local.
OK, so you don't actually have access to an Alpha? Hmm, is Ezra still kangaroo maintainer? (I have the bits to add you but would rather check with the maintainer first.)
