I'm in the process of rearranging the sources

I assume you are rearranging lib/kadm5 to support the
fact that your build system can only handle one library per
   directory...

I thought there was going to be a discussion about the design of the
new build system before you started making large-scale changes to
accomodate it. I certainly would like to see a design document to
convince me that your system will be sufficient and better than what
we currently have before we commit to it, particularly since we seem
to be in the middle of discussions about maybe replacing the build
   system with gmake anyway.

The reason why we are twisting ourselves into pretzels is that we are
trying to accomodate Cygnus's desire to use the new kadmin code in their
Q3 release, which requires that we get Beta 7 out at the end of this
week.

We're not going to have time to completely replace the build system
before then.

In the meantime, since I'd like to help out Cygnus if we can, we're
going to try to get a Beta 7 release out. If it turns out to be too
much work (there's plenty of other breakages elsewhere in the tree that
I'm also trying to fix), we may just punt and put out the release after
my long and well-deserved (IMHO) vacation. :-)

However, I want to make the MIT Krb5 development team to make a good
faith effort *before* we screw Cygnus (or perhaps more accurately, let
them screw themselves because they tried to commit too much behind a
way-too-aggressive deadline).

Grumble.
