Looking for in configure.in for strftime, I find use of it in 
lib/krb5/krb/str_time.c (krb5_timestamp_to_sfstring) and in
appl/telnet/telnetd/utility.c (putf)....

The telnetd one I am not too worried about as it looks like a
replacement for handling getty entries for a proper banner... The
lib/krb5 one however.....
