Alright, I misunderstood you.
However, I still ask the question:
Does the Kerberos configuration out of the box (which I guess uses
STREAMS) work?  If it properly initializes the tty, without any apparent
problems, then I ask why should we be worried?  If the vendor interface
is broken, then it makes sense.  However, as I said in my original
message, many vendors support multiple mechanisms, and if we are going
to fine tune which mechanisms are chosen on every given platform, it
will take an eternity.  If there is a test that we are missing for
determining proper streams support that should be added, if we can.  I
would rather see such a test than another conditional in the config.guess.

The problem is I don't know how well HP-UX 10.0 works.  (While we do
have some such machines, I don't readily have access to them to test it
out to comment further.)
