Please be aware that my patch implements the spec, so there may be a
compatibility issue for old DES clients. The wrong ivec was being used.
Feel free to correct that in anyway you see fit. The old checksum
routine can be enabled, as appropriate, by fixing the "#if 0" logic (I
have already done a version that works in that fashion, and can recreate
it, if you want).
