Thanks for sending us these patches. I assume from your message that
these patches supercede all previous messages from you, correct?
We do plan to integrate in your changes, but note that not all of your
patches may make it in. Reasons why we might not be integrating the
patches might include:
* We will be dropping support for ISODE and imake for our next
release; we have hand-coded parsers to replace the ISODE
compiler.
* I am planning on integrating the Berkeley DB package into our
release, so we don't have to deal with random different
vendors' DBM/NDBM packages.
* The autoconf code has changed significantly since 4.1,
probably fixing some of your bugs, but not all of them.
I do really appreciate the work that you've put into improving Beta 4.1
and making it work under HP-UX. I hope you will try Beta 4.2 when it
comes out, and give us similar feedback. Speaking of which, if you
could test Beta 4.2 (which will have the new encoders) and make sure
that it interoperates with the ASN.1 encoders/decoders in the DCE
Kerberos, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again!!
