Hi MIT Kerberos Team,
My name is Jane Huan, and I work on Hughes in MD. Our company has a plan using
MIT Kerberos V5 doing some security staff.
First I try to install kerberos V5 beta4 in Sun OS 4.1.3. I can do general
authentication for principals. But I have problem about services. For instance,
Kerberized rlogin, I got the error message like that "rlogin: kcmd to host
venus.hitc.com - Server not found in Kerberos database". In /etc/adm/messages
file, it displays "venus krlogind: authentication failed from venus.HITC.COM.
venus krlogind: kerberos authentication failed." I tried all possibilities, and
got same problem. I can get ticket for rlogin/venus.
Let me tell you what I did. First running kdb5_edit: ank rlogin/venus,then using
xst venus rlogin. Is it correct? or I did something wrong?
Please help me find out what the problem is. I appreciate it.
