So you should not be too surprised if you have to put in some patches to make things work. I'd definitely appreciate any patches of feedback you have to offer. getting TGT for test1-DEPTH-1 kdc5_hammer: Cannot find KDC for requested realm while getting initial credentials This looks like either /krb5/krb.conf (or however you configured the location of the configuration file) isn't present, or the code is having troubles reading and/or parsing that file. Also, even though "klist" seems to work OK (I can't really make a valid test), "kinit" complains: /home/uri/src/krb5-beta3/clients/kinit> ./kinit Password for uri@WATSON.IBM.COM: kinit: isode: missing element during translation while getting initial credentials /home/uri/src/krb5-beta3/clients/kinit> This looks much more serious. Have you built other things using ISODE 8.0 under Linux, and have they worked? This looks like a bug when porting ISODE to Linux, which was one of the things I dreaded testing. After having looked at the sources to MH a long time ago, one of the last things I want to do is to go crawling around the insides of ISODE.... :-) - Ted
