Hello. Just a comment that I have tried compiling the KRB5 920930 with
ISODE 8.0 as obtained from psi.com. I have found no immediate problems
with using it. The compilation platform was a Sun SPARC running SunOS
4.1.3 . However (see below), I haven't run anything yet.

Forgive me for being unfamiliar with the tools used in compiling krb5. I
have to ask a question which, I hope, will be an easy one to answer. I
am compiling krb5 to ensure that our products are correct w.r.t.
kerberos environments, and so debugging kerberos (its build in
prticular) is something I can't spend much time on. After spending some
time trying to figure this out, I ask the question:

The build I have is refusing to build libkrb.a before going on to try
and link images that require it. Honestly, fgrep and I haven't found
'libkrb.a' as a target in the imake'd Makefiles! Can anyone tell me how
libkrb.a is built in a build of 'world' form the src level of the tree?

Even just an 'ar' listing of its contents would be fine...

If I continue to issue 'make all' from the src level, everything that
does not need this library builds fine. The build *seems* to be all set,
save for this problem.

Configuration of this build: imake as found in X11R4, untouched. ss,
com_err both obtained from psi.com and cleanly built. Object files
allowed to be generated in the source tree -- hard to change this. (Why
is there no rule to clean the tree from the top down???) ISODE 8.0 in
place. Using the SunOS cc (not gcc).
