>Release: 1.0
>Environment:
System: SunOS judith 5.4 generic sun4m sparc
>Description:
# /usr/local/sbin/kdb5_util load_v4 v4-dump
Initializing database '/usr/local/var/krb5kdc/principal' for realm 'JPL-MDMS.JPL.NASA.GOV',
master key name 'K/M@JPL-MDMS.JPL.NASA.GOV'
load_v4: Cannot find/read stored master key while reading master key
>How-To-Repeat:
Make sure you have not yet created a key stash, then follow the instructions
on page 5 of "Upgrading to Kerberos V5 from Kerberos V4. Release 1.0, Oct. 8, 1996
>Fix:
I got around this by creating a new database, using
# kdb5_util create -r <Realm> -s
Then I destroyed the database, since load_v4 insisted on creating the database.
# rm principal.*
I then proceded with
# kdb5_util load_v4 v4-dump
skipping the kdb5_util stash command.
