As regards your problem with the bsd rcommands, you are not naming the
srvtab file correctly. This needs go into the directory /krb5, and
should be named v5srvtab.
I do not understand the problem you are having with kadmin. Are you
saying that you sometimes get a message that a principal exists and
sometimes that it doesn't? This seems very strange. kadmind logs all
errors, usually in /usr/adm/messages. You might want to look in here
to see exactly what error kadmind sees.
