kprop gives premature SUCCEEDED message

kprop prints "Database propagation to beeblebrox: SUCCEEDED"
prematurely, and in many cases the propagation fails after that
message is printed. If I recall correctly, the message is displayed
after the file is transmitted correctly, but before kdb5_edit (now
kdb5_util) returns successfully.
This needs to be fixed.
