  CRAP CRUMBS!!!  Dammit.  I was running against the old rdistd that
was in my /usr/local/bin.  How old?  I don't know offhand.  It works
(6.1.2), unmodified, with krb5 rsh/kshd, using the proper rdistd.

  I sincerely apologize for wasting everyone's time with this.  I will
be more careful next time.
